About The Position

As a Data Operations Manager at FMH, you will be responsible for developing the overall strategy, collaboration, coordination, alignment, and execution of Business Intelligence data operations and solutions to ensure that delivery of business goals and objectives are met. Will partner closely with leadership to align data operations, analytical deliverables, and reporting with business objectives and analytics strategy. This role resides in the Business Intelligence (BI) department.

Requirements

  • At least 4-8 years of direct work experience in a project management role leading medium to large business and technical projects, including all aspects of planning, execution, and delivery. Must be able to work with people at all levels of the organization, including outside consultants and vendors, and be able to influence others without formal authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Data Science, or related field (Associates degree required) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management software a plus.
  • Certifications in Six Sigma and Project Management highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manages scope and successful completion of BI analytics and reporting requests and ensure proper use of prioritization and scheduling tools, rules, and procedures.
  • Coaches and mentors BI team members on best practices for efficient, on-time delivery of BI solutions, ensuring BI leadership and Corporate leadership objectives are met.
  • Manages and communicates BI project plans, strategies, and collaboration across BI and other teams, assessing risks, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring accuracy and successful delivery of these projects.
  • Effectively communicates timely status reports and project results to the business and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the IT Data Architects on Data Warehouse updates, changes and additions.
  • Oversees the BI Quality Assurance team and BI testing, ensuring testing resources are available, defined procedures are followed, and all data standards are met prior to delivery.
  • Coordinates, plans, and manages updates and releases, including managing impact analysis, identifying risks, release management.
  • Manages overall requirements gathering and feature and story grooming for the BI Department and ensures Return on Investment (ROI) is tracked and calculated wherever possible.
