The primary responsibilities of this role, Business Intelligence Data Engineer, are to: * Develop and implement accurate, consistent and secure data sets supporting key metrics; * Leverages strong knowledge of traditional data warehousing, data structures and tools. Organizes data into optimal data structures flexible to cross-functional and cross-process data needs; * Develops and maintains a business driven data pipeline optimized to the business needs; able to identify and proactively transition pipelines to IT when appropriate; * Leverages an understanding of data systems and business process into definition and delivery of innovative data integration solutions; * Continuously Improves data and business drive data processes supporting key metrics; * Enjoys digging deep for the answer and won't give up until they have it- problem solving mentality; * Supports functional and analytics users by simplifying multiple data sources queries, identifying optimal ways to prepare and navigate datasets, implementing data quality control and timely communication of data issues or gaps; * Adaptive to changing tools, technologies and data environments; * Responsible for delivering collaboratively built cross-functional insight; * Provides leadership in a small team format to understand, design and deliver a maintainable data pipeline; * Uses business acumen and functional stakeholder input to understand data needed for process enablement, to locate the needed data, and to translate to the right measures at the right granularity; * Drives the common understanding of key performance indicators and metrics needed to make business critical decisions and drive business results; * Facilitates definition of common cross functional and cross brand metrics and calculations bringing together inputs from senior level (N-5+) resources across Supply Chain Management, Commercial Marketing and Sales; * Builds strong working relationships with Supply Chain Management and Commercial function leaders, and IT Data Stewards and Data Support Teams, Global data governance and Global Crop Science COE teams.
