About the Role: The BI Data Analyst II supports Operations Program Management and business stakeholders through data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. This role focuses on building reliable, user‑friendly dashboards and analyzing data to surface trends, insights, and opportunities. The BI Data Analyst II works collaboratively with senior analysts, reporting teams, and business partners to deliver accurate, actionable analytics that support informed decision‑making. This position can be remote or hybrid, with occasional onsite meetings as needed in Dayton, OH; Boca Raton, FL; or Alpharetta, GA.

Requirements

  • Experience with data collection and preparation, including data cleansing, measurement systems, relational databases, and SQL queries to join and transform complex data.
  • Hands‑on experience with exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and data anomalies or outliers.
  • Strong data visualization skills, presenting actionable insights through clear, engaging dashboards and storytelling.
  • Advanced knowledge of visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
  • Advanced computer skills in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, with significant experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and collaboration skills with a business‑partner and customer‑service mindset.
  • Results‑oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to independently prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Professional communication skills, with the ability to explain data insights clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of ETL tools such as KNIME or Alteryx is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Data Infrastructure & Modeling Understand underlying data structures and relationships across multiple datasets.
  • Build and design SQL data models, views, and relationships to support reporting and analytics.
  • Develop data models or repositories to transform raw data into structured, analysis‑ready formats.
  • Work with existing tools and reporting teams to improve raw data usability and consistency.
  • Dashboards & Reporting Develop clear, user‑friendly Power BI dashboards with strong storylines that highlight actionable insights.
  • Build dashboards that are scalable across teams and include drill‑down capabilities.
  • Proactively translate ideas, issues, and observations into visual analytics that drive business takeaways.
  • Develop and manage automated data and report delivery routines based on agreed communication methods and timelines.
  • Analysis & Business Partnership Analyze data and dashboards to identify trends, anomalies, gaps, and areas of opportunity.
  • Question inconsistencies and validate findings to ensure insights are accurate and reliable.
  • Recommend cost‑effective solutions, follow‑ups, or next steps based on analytical findings.
  • Partner with business stakeholders using a customer‑service mindset to support decision‑making.
  • Data Quality, Visualization & Governance Ensure data collected and reported is accurate, complete, and compliant with data standards.
  • Test dashboards and technical solutions to ensure they function as expected prior to release.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data infrastructure, dashboards, and reports.
  • Support ongoing improvements to reporting processes, standards, and best practices.
