About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst leads information analysis projects and is responsible for comprehensive and innovative data interpretation for University Advancement and campus partners. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing annual surveys and reports, providing analysis, and recommendations around data-based decisions. The BI Analyst will work with University Advancement and campus partners to manage data analysis projects, implement information usage strategies, train, document, and communicate changes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories: A. College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: - 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) - Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) - 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) - Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) B. Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
  • One (1) year of experience with a data visualization and business intelligence platform (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos Analytics) OR enterprise database administration experience (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server) including physical and distributed database implementations, architecture and strategy.
  • Experience writing complex reports or queries
