CMBU Business Intelligence Analyst As the Business Intelligence Analyst for Micron’s Cloud Memory Business Unit (CMBU) you will be work in an innovative, motivated, upbeat, project team focused on driving AI and data analytic initiatives in the automation of tools and analytics using BI tools such as Power BI and Snowflake. You will be responsible for creating and delivering data reporting solutions and visualizations that are consumed by a wide audience including business leaders, business analysts, planners, suppliers and internal customers. You will work with business partners to define system requirements and coordinate with the Information Technology (IT) department as needed. As a team, we design and create business intelligence solutions that answer key business questions. We strive to deliver value to the organization through AI and the transparency of data through metrics, dashboards, analytics, and reporting. We endeavor to deliver high-quality data, support, and availability of our AI and information assets.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in creating Power BI and/or Tableau reporting.
  • Advanced skills in creating and optimizing SQL queries including stored procedures, views, functions, ETL's and Reporting tools.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Solutions using Microsoft Technology (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SSMS etc.).
  • Self motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, collaboration and motivational skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst in Information Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, such as product managers, marketing managers, customer service and technical leads to capture requirements, build user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders and the software development team.
  • Responsible for identifying project stakeholders and understanding and defining business needs, project objectives and deliverables.
  • Responsible for project communication, documentation and ensures appropriate stakeholder sign-off.
  • Coordinate with project team to triage, prioritize feature requests, bugs/defects, and other development items.
  • Break down complex requirements into User Stories written from a business perspective that can be coded and tested in short iteration.
  • Perform validation (i.e. functional, independent validation and verification, and user acceptance testers) to ensure requirements are understood and to acquire testing outcomes.
  • Design and create database objects such as tables, view and procedures.
  • Develop reports, analytics and visualizations to meet business requirements.
  • Use AI to improve business productivity and efficiency.
