About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst at CMI Valve LLC is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business decisions and provide analytical insights. This full-time position requires the development and maintenance of analytical models and dashboards using business intelligence tools to enhance the company's competitive edge in both domestic and international markets.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in market research and business analysis for a valve manufacturer or distribution company.
  • Experience in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data using business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python).
  • Experience in international supply chain with a strong understanding of import/export for piping related products.
  • In-depth technical valve knowledge including valve types, materials, and API specifications.
  • Experience using advanced Excel features (formulas, functions, VBA).
  • Strong ability to understand critical business processes and analyze complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of API 6D and API 6A product specifications.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and EU trade regulations and emission standard regulations.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools (MS Excel, Python, Tableau, Power BI) to develop and maintain analytical models and dashboards.
  • Create custom reports outlining business operations, financial data, and industry trends.
  • Perform cost analysis and identify opportunities for reducing operating expenses.
  • Conduct market mapping and evaluate competitive market strategies.
  • Maintain and update a thorough database of model documents, templates, and reports.
  • Automate procedures to optimize results and enhance precision.
  • Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, and professional organizations to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development.
