About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst (Mid-Level) at USAA plays a crucial role in supporting Claims operations by transforming data into actionable insights and visualizations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytics field or 4 years of related experience in statistics or quantitative analytics.
  • 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience in the respective industry, or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Experience identifying and implementing innovative approaches to business problems.
  • Experience developing business deliverables using business intelligence platforms and SQL-based languages.
  • Proven ability to build business knowledge through partnerships at various levels.
  • Demonstrated advanced communication skills and ability to deliver presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of Property & Casualty Claims experience.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Python, and data prep/transformation.
  • Excellent presentation and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Gather complex business requirements by partnering with customers to define business problems and data needs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, including data visualization and transformation.
  • Collaborate with IT execution teams on analytic infrastructures and data engineering efforts.
  • Apply data visualization best practices to identify and interpret trends or patterns.
  • Prototype solutions for displaying information based on business needs.
  • Act as a trusted data visualization advisor to stakeholders to drive business value.
  • Participate in industry groups to stay updated on trends and share best practices.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and controlled.
