About The Position

The primary purpose of the Business Intelligence Analyst (BI Analyst) is to acquire, organize, store data from disparate sources into a single corporate data warehouse to support the current and future needs of Net Health and present that data to the business. Common tasks include identifying new data sources, building data pipelines, developing new data models, and preparing new data for analysis. The BI Analyst will support other analysts and business users in various functional areas on data initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who is confident, meticulous and responsible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • 1-2 Years experience using SQL languages to create and manipulated data in relational databases and data warehouses such as Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift etc.
  • 1-2 Years experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Snaplogic, Power Bi etc.
  • 1-2 Years experience with visual Data Preparation tools such as Snaplogic, Talend, Altyrix, Matillion etc.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate complex mathematical, statistical, logical and/or technical topics clearly and accurately to non-technical business users with compassion and grace.
  • Develop, maintain and document data pipelines extracting data from systems of record for insertion into Net Health's corporate data warehouse.
  • Ensure the integrity of data flowing through ETL processes and actively research and correct any inaccuracies discovered.
  • Support other analysts and business users accessing the data warehouse. This may involve simple tasks like answering questions, or updating documentation, or more involved tasks like building pre-aggregated historical views, cubes or data extracts.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum process to refine, prioritize, and build solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to understand data models from a variety of systems and pull out the required information whether that be from flat files, databases, or APIs.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact, easily understood insights across a variety of core business areas.
  • Support the growth of Net Health's data driven culture by educating users about tools and services available to them.
  • Resolve complex problems independently, using current job knowledge, research and external resources.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
