What the job involves: We are currently seeking an Intern in Business Intelligence (BI) Analysis to join our team. In this role, you will learn data visualization techniques using advanced analytics tools, develop skills in transforming complex datasets into actionable business insights, and gain experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making. As a Summer Intern in Business Intelligence Analysis at JLL, you will:

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau: Including creating complex visualizations, calculated fields, and advanced table calculations
  • Data visualization expertise: Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
  • Technical programming skills: Proficient in SQL and data manipulation languages, with solid understanding of Python for data engineering tasks
  • Analytical capabilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex datasets and work with large datasets composed of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Permanent US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI to support business intelligence needs
  • Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business users to identify, analyze, and document business requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs) across various departments
  • Data Management and Modeling: Collect and transform data from multiple sources into structured formats for analysis, while developing and maintaining data models and datasets for efficient reporting
  • Technical Development: Create calculations, measures, and custom visuals in Power BI to support complex reporting needs while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
  • User Support and Training: Provide training and support to end-users to optimize their use of Power BI for reporting needs, while collaborating with IT teams to ensure data security and compliance
