About The Position

The Business Insights Specialist is responsible for conducting analyses on curated and/or aggregated DataMart's in conjunction with deep business subject matter expertise, to generate relevant analytical insights for business issues and identify opportunities to drive business growth and value. This role works in partnership with business leaders to present or generate appropriate insights including the delivery of supporting collateral and/or presentations. The U.S. Business Resilience and Incident Management (BRIM) team is accountable for cross-functional execution of the TD Business Continuity Management (BCM) program and Incident Management Protocol (IMP) for all U.S. legal entities. BRIM is responsible for the development and implementation of U.S. business resilience and incident management strategies, governance policies, standards and practices, operating framework, reporting, notification and escalation of material and significant events.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science).
  • Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with data mining/storytelling from inventory.
  • Experience supporting report visualization needs.
  • Experience supporting development of new reports for stakeholders.
  • Experience with data quality and manual report automation enhancements.

  • Tech/Finance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses on curated and/or aggregated DataMart's to generate relevant analytical insights.
  • Work in partnership with business leaders to present or generate appropriate insights.
  • Lead within a specialized business management function and provide work direction to others.
  • Undertake and complete a variety of complex projects and initiatives requiring specialist knowledge.
  • Interact with any hierarchy level up to executive leaders and external vendors.
  • Generate multifaceted insights and identify opportunities to help drive business growth.
  • Present and communicate generated insights and recommended business actions to stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary interface with business to bridge and translate business requirements to analytics and reporting needs.
  • Train business users on how to integrate analytics into decisions.
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements.
