About The Position

The Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) department seeks individuals who appreciate challenging, deadline-driven problems in a rapidly changing environment. The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models, perform statistical analyses, and create data-driven strategies that impact business decisions and outcomes. This role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex data concepts into strategic business actions. The BI&A mission is to deliver exceptional analytical insights and solutions to challenges throughout NetJets, and the team aims to be the trusted business partner for leaders at all levels of the company for analytical solutions, decision support, and strategic insights. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Data Analysis.
• Master's in Mathematics or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or a similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and version control tools (GitHub, BitBucket) are a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience with data science or a similar role, with a proven track record of building predictive models and delivering data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of complex statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Partner with leaders throughout the business to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that support decision-making processes.
• Communicate results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide recommendations and insight into the use of advanced modeling and analytics techniques.
• Work with individuals across data teams and the business to advance successful utilization of analytical products and advanced models.
• Translate data findings into strategic recommendations that drive business performance and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.
• Stay updated on the latest data science trends, tools, and techniques to ensure the application of cutting-edge methods in your work.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
