About The Position

The position involves assisting the Community Corrections Department in evaluating, planning, redesigning, and implementing software system solutions. The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency through software systems, understanding current business processes, and making recommendations for improvements. It also includes data analysis and reporting to support key performance measures within the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, criminal justice, law enforcement, business administration, quantitative or statistical analysis, or related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience with technology implementation, testing, and data analysis in a corrections, government, or service-industry organization.
  • Experience in project management, business analysis, software administration, and process analysis and design is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical liaison for coordination between departments and work units.
  • Define, design, and implement business process improvements using software system enhancements.
  • Identify software system gaps and lead process improvement efforts with business leads and IT staff.
  • Address and resolve end-user business needs related to software-enabled processes.
  • Create and run database reports and queries for key performance measures in Community Corrections and JAF.
  • Understand application development and propose changes for improved efficiencies and reporting.
  • Assist in collecting performance data for department, state, and federal reports.
  • Plan and develop outcome-based measures for programs and services.
  • Conduct research and analysis related to performance management and process improvement.
  • Participate in virtual teams for technology implementations and assist in project delivery.
  • Provide training and guidance on performance measurement and data capture.
  • Facilitate user group meetings to identify software system issues or opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining operating procedures and standards manuals.
  • Create and implement test plans for software projects and conduct necessary testing.
  • Coordinate with business units, IT, and vendors for successful software implementations.
  • Lead meetings to inform and implement new functions and processes.
  • Help users with issue resolution and training for system changes.
