About The Position

The Business Information Security Architect - Cyber Security serves as the primary liaison between the information security function and the assigned business unit or Information Technologies department. This role is crucial in providing guidance during the design phase of projects, reviewing vendor products through Threat Risk Assessments (TRA), and overseeing the transition of projects into production. The architect is expected to uphold the policies, practices, and procedures of Las Vegas Sands Corp., ensuring that all team members conduct themselves professionally and adhere to the company's standards and rules of conduct. In this position, the architect must possess strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to various stakeholders, including software engineers, management, business units, and vendors. This involves translating complex technical language into terms that are understandable to non-technical stakeholders. The architect is responsible for identifying, testing, and managing risks associated with systems or networks, ensuring that cybersecurity requirements are met before any production release. The role requires a solid understanding of the software development process and technical skills to identify risks, propose immediate solutions, and provide guidance on application and system solutions during the design phase. The architect will support the development of cybersecurity requirements for software or applications, perform security architecture design reviews, and interact with the architecture review board to identify cyber risks in design. Additionally, the architect will provide remediation guidance and recommendations throughout the Threat Risk Assessment lifecycle, ensuring that all cybersecurity measures are effectively implemented. The position demands knowledge of web service technologies, load balancer services, ubiquitous encryption technologies, and common authentication protocols. A solid understanding of secure network and system design in both cloud and conventional environments is essential. The architect should have experience as an Application/Product Security Engineer, Architect, or Developer, and must be able to perform job duties safely and consistently attend work as scheduled. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
