About the position

The team will focus on implementing and maintaining the data management inventory for US Treasury. This includes critical data elements, lineage, data quality and controls as well as business specific data standards, policies and tracking of ongoing changes to that information in alignment with enterprise guidelines, standards, and policies. The goal is to effectively manage and maintain all aspects of data management to ensure accessibility, transparency and accuracy for US Treasury. This is a highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge and expertise in a complex field, with a primary subject matter expert in multiple areas. The role involves working autonomously as a senior/lead on a diverse range of tasks, managing and directing activities related to analysis, design and support of business information management solutions, and supporting data modeling capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the data management inventory for US Treasury.
  • Manage critical data elements, lineage, data quality and controls.
  • Consult with clients and project teams on business information management processes.
  • Analyze, design, develop data repositories, warehouses and marts.
  • Support data modeling capabilities and business teams in understanding data.
  • Develop data road map and information management strategies.
  • Drive data-centric solution development focusing on complex data integration.
  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to resolve issues.
  • Lead the investigation of root causes for data issues.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background.
  • Advanced knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Skill in using analytical software tools and data analysis methods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Inventory Management Experience.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
  • Data Dashboarding Experience.
  • Expertise in data analysis and inventory tools such as Excel, SQL, data visualization software, Collibra.
