About The Position

Business Information Consultant Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 8600 W Bryn Mawr Ave, South Tower, 10th & 11th Floors, Chicago, IL 60631. This role requires associates to be in-office 1–2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm The Business Information Consultant is responsible for analyzing and modeling healthcare data to generate insights, support operational decision-making, and develop advanced analytics solutions. How You Will Make an Impact: Ingest, query, and model claims-based medical spending data to identify opportunities for utilization management. Apply knowledge of regression and classification machine learning models and determine appropriate use cases. Develop performance monitoring methodologies, dashboards, and reports for analytics solutions. Design and develop NLP applications to support operational processes and digitization of documents, including oversight of OCR capabilities. Transition machine learning models to cloud-based environments (Microsoft Azure) Perform ad-hoc data analysis related to utilization management, claims adjudication, and other business needs. Communicate technical findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders, including clinicians and business leaders. Mentor team members on technology, architecture, and delivery of analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in a related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s) must include: Articulating systems of clinical delivery and financing within the U.S. healthcare system.
  • Working with medical claims data and claims-based code sets
  • Presenting analytic insights to business audiences using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Management Studio for medical economics modeling studies and financial modeling.
  • Creating analysis project plans and providing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Applying dashboard design principles using Microsoft Excel or R Shiny.
  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience.
  • Must have skills listed above.
