About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant Military Apprentice as part of our Wealth Investment Management (WIM) Operations division within Wells Fargo. This Business Execution team provides oversight and alignment across individual disciplines that include risk and regulatory activities, custody operations, and wealth servicing products. Each discipline maintains its own specialized processes and subject matter expertise, while the team ensures that all areas operate with consistent standards, strong controls, and high data integrity. By partnering with leaders and specialists across these disciplines, the team monitors procedures, resolves issues, identifies gaps, and promotes compliance. Through this coordinated structure, the team strengthens end-to-end quality and enhances the reliability of services delivered to internal partners and clients. In this role, you will: Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root-cause analysis of data following all compliance and business metrics Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work Review and analyze strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of the support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business Collaborate and consult with senior leaders and executive management Apprentices within the U.S. Department of Labor accredited Apprenticeship program perform a variety of structured duties, including a combination of (however, not limited to) on-the-job training, coursework and mentorship, under the supervision of a hiring manager, program manager and a mentor. Apprenticeships are designed to assist in the professional development of an apprentice, in preparation for the post-apprenticeship role. Program Managers will facilitate an apprentice’s required path for professional development. This ensures an apprentice will have gained proficiency and obtained the required experience of a fully functioning Business Execution Consultant

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Enrollment into Wells Fargo’s DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required.
  • Apprentices are considered full-time employees within the program. As such, Apprentices are expected to not only uphold and adhere to Wells Fargo and the Apprenticeship Program, but also expected to follow Wells Fargo's prescribed policies, procedures, and employee expectations
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
  • Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification.
  • Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience in any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or Reserves
  • Experience supporting Operational Risk, Technology Risk, or Compliance Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
  • Sound analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including importing, exporting, and manipulating data
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications and use search tools to validate information
