We are looking for a Vice President of Business Development focused on Microsoft Alliance Go to Market to join our tea m . Protiviti works in a hybrid environment, and this role requires that you work in-person in our office several times per week. As Vice President of Business Development for Microsoft Go-to-Market, you will be a key member of Protiviti’s Microsoft leadership team, responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and growth of Microsoft services . This role focuses on sourcing and closing high-value deals, managing Microsoft sales and account team relationships , and strengthening Protiviti’s strategic alliance with Microsoft . You will cultivate strong client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor, and identify opportunities to expand services through upselling and cross-selling.

Requirements

  • Thrive on building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with Protiviti leadership, Protiviti buyer teams, and Protiviti account executives.
  • Leverage and coordinate activities with RHI teams.
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand client industries, challenges, and goals.
  • Develop and refine strategic sales plans, including prospecting, lead qualification, and deal closure.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors to position Protiviti as a thought leader.
  • Successfully manage several Microsoft leadership and account level relationships within the ATU and STU simultaneously.
  • Leverage CRM tools to track interactions, manage relationships, and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively and build trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and consistently exceed expectations.
  • Identify potential clients and market opportunities through strategic research and analysis.
  • Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales KPIs as a top-performing individual contributor.
  • Build and maintain a strong professional network, including senior executive relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management or business d evelopment within the consulting industry , or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Sourcing and Deal Closure : Identify , pursue, and close opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales, delivery, marketing, and consulting teams to meet client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Microsoft and client organizations to drive Microsoft opportunity pipeline .
  • Strategy and Execution : Partner with the Microsoft sales teams to align go-to-market initiatives with overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Monitor and analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and client needs to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Marketing Campaigns : Lead the creation and execution of targeted marketing campaigns to promote Protiviti’s Microsoft service capabilities .
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop thought leadership content, case studies, and client success stories to enhance brand visibility.
  • Represent Protiviti at industry events, conferences, and Microsoft -related forums to showcase expertise and generate leads.
  • Help drive follow-up activities from marketing events to drive opportunity pipeline formalization.
