ABOUT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST: We are looking for a Business Development Specialist that is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new business opportunities with current and potential customers to drive the growth of our product, primarily the Equipment and Testing business units. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated sales professional, with experience selling to R&D Engineers, who thrives on the challenge of closing deals and expanding our customer base within the medical device industry. COMPENSATION: Base Salary Range $75,000-$85,000 Eligible for commission- $30,000+ Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, 401k, EAP, EcoPass, Accident Insurance, plus more. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Scientific, Business or Marketing field Proven experience in technical B2B sales in the laboratory, life sciences, or Biomedical Devices. Demonstrate ability to establish and develop strong professional relationships with customers specializing in technical and R&D fields. Experience with cardiovascular device standards (ISO, ASTM) a plus. Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas. Experience with prospecting, cold calling, and acquiring new business in a technical and competitive environment Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to quickly learn and understand technical product offerings and their applications and to disseminate this information to prospects. Ability to recognize, interpret and communicate changes in industry standards, practices and market trends. Must be organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and writing skills and good interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
