Role: The Business Development Specialist is responsible for sales and relationship development to drive Coosa Valley Credit Union's strategic membership and growth goals. Identifies opportunities and initiates activities to generate prospective new membership and lending leads. Manages and develops the credit union's relationship with employer groups, community groups and other organizations to increase membership within our community charter and around branch locations. Maintains accurate reports and records of relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Visitations to various employer groups, community groups and other facilities.
  • Asking for business, maintaining relationships, making presentations, and public speaking to promote credit union membership.
  • Participate in local chambers of commerce and other community group events for the purpose of networking, building leads and promoting the credit union
  • Attends community events to prospect for new business
  • Attend targeted after hours and weekend functions to increase credit union brand or business opportunities.
  • Identify community service projects, events, activities that best support credit union goals
  • Take lead role in managing the credit unions charity involvement.
  • Maintain relationship with chambers of commerce and other partner programs including our listing and their website pages and events calendar to ensure links, offers, and information is current.
  • Work with Director of Business Development to develop membership opportunities in assigned branch areas to achieve departmental membership goals.
  • Work with branch managers to develop business for their branches.
  • Maintain good relationships with existing employer and community groups.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints, problems or questions for members and company contacts.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
