About The Position

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for personal communication between customers and the dealership as they shop online for vehicles. Daily actions are centered around emailing, texting and phone calls needed to develop rapport with customers in various stages of the car buying process. This job requires a person with friendly attitude plus an energetic drive to answer questions and encourage business.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a professional, enthusiastic, and friendly attitude at the first point of contact with any potential client/customer
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR and background check
  • Physical requirements: regularly required to sit for long periods of time, stand, crouch, and kneel; frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to feel objects and type; occasionally required to stoop and the ability to talk, see and hear.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and promptly respond to inbound calls and internet inquiries
  • Place outbound emails, texts and phone calls to potential and existing customers
  • Identify customer needs and schedule shopping visits
  • Follow-up on Internet Customer communications according to a pre-determined timeline
  • Promptly and accurately enter all customer inquiry data into a follow up program
  • Notify necessary departments when an appointment is scheduled
  • Schedule follow-up contacts and review visit
  • Log Customer communications
  • Maintain/update Customer changes in database
  • Compile all necessary reports, forms and other documentation on a timely basis
