About The Position

Business Development Specialist Sr Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Business Development Specialist Sr is responsible for developing new business areas which complement existing offerings. How you will make an impact: Develops business plans and formulate strategies for both new and existing businesses. Monitors and analyzes product lines to help determine optimal strategy. Provides research, analysis and recommendations on the external environment as part of the development of strategic plans for the business unit. Analyzes major competitor strategies. Identifies and monitors changing patterns of competition and recommends response. Acquires and maintains data/information on market, industry, economic, consumer and competitive conditions and trends pertaining to health insurance/managed care and related services. May lead or coordinate the activities of lower level staff performing related functions. Managing and being accountable for developing and executing JAA business readiness in response to Anthem projects (SSCRs, PORs), including leading TPA communications, federal and association mandates, and market readiness initiatives for sales and account management. Supporting internal teams (Sales, Operations, Implementation) with research and resolution of escalated issues. Identifying and tracking changes, issues, and patterns, and recommending solutions and/or appropriate responses. Serving as the primary liaison between Payors, Operations, and Sales to service providers.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of business development experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
