About The Position

HungryPanda is a specialist food delivery platform headquartered in London, providing authentic Chinese food and groceries to Chinese compatriots and students abroad since its establishment in 2017. The company aims to connect merchants to consumers via a state-of-the-art online platform and industry-leading delivery service, consolidating the end-to-end value chain of the overseas Chinese food industry to leverage efficiency and scale. The position involves acquiring merchants, assisting them in achieving higher orders and GMV, and maintaining relationships with existing merchants to ensure smooth business operations.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in Mandarin.
  • 3 years of experience in business development or sales roles, with customer experience in the foodservice or delivery industry being a plus.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.
  • High sensitivity to market trends and data.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a desire to work with restaurants.
  • Excellent teamwork ability and the capability to efficiently complete business negotiations independently.
  • Have a valid driver license and a vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in business development or sales roles with a focus on restaurant partnerships.
  • Experience working in an internet company.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire merchants and assist them in achieving higher orders and GMV (Gross merchandise volume).
  • Arrange in-person meetings to negotiate contracts with potential merchants.
  • Maintain existing relationships with cooperating merchants, coordinate and resolve issues with various stakeholders, continuously improve merchant satisfaction and service quality.
  • Conduct regular merchant visits, apply for/replace merchant material for merchants.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Maintain and constantly update backstage settings for each merchant in charge.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Delivery Operations to align strategies aimed at increasing Gross merchandise volume.
