About The Position

Gridline is looking to expand our Sales team. We are looking for an inside business development representative who is not afraid to use the phone to cold call, build relationships, identify business opportunities, and set appointments for our GPS / Telematics products. This is an amazing opportunity for the right person. The work environment is fast and furious. You will need to bring enthusiasm and high sales energy. We are looking for someone who seeks to exceed their own expectations and is willing to contribute to a team effort.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to persuade and build rapport
  • A high degree of persistence and resilience, as BDRs often face rejection and must be able to bounce back
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, or Sales Representative role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Managing multiple leads and tasks effectively to meet quotas and KPIs
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Sales or Customer-Facing Experience

Responsibilities

  • Assessing the viability of prospects based on specific criteria to ensure they are a good fit for the Gridline products or services through research, networking, and various outreach methods like cold calling, emailing, and social selling
  • Developing and executing outreach strategies to connect with potential customers, building relationships, and nurturing leads
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Sales Representatives
  • Report to the Sales Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
