About The Position

JBS Dev is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their sales team. This role is for someone in an SDR/BDR role seeking to build a strong foundation in business development. The BDR will generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound follow-ups, and initial discovery calls. They will collaborate with sales and leadership to identify clients, understand needs, and support solution development. Over time, the BDR will gain more ownership of the sales cycle, including client presentations, deal strategy, and closing. The role involves selling services in strategy and architecture, data warehousing, business intelligence and data science, mobile application development, and visual interface design to clients across various industries like SaaS, retail, e-commerce, financial services, education, non-profit, and healthcare. This position is suited for individuals comfortable in a structured, metrics-driven environment with clear expectations for outbound activity, meeting generation, and pipeline contribution. It is a full-time, 100% remote position, requiring candidates to reside in and be authorized to work in the US.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience as a B2B Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, or a similar role
  • Experience in lead generation through cold-calling, emailing and social media channels
  • Ability to articulate solutions and their value to IT and business executives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with experience negotiating and handling objections
  • Must be extremely coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback
  • Must have excellent organizational, time management, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Enterprise selling experience highly preferred
  • Experience selling customized software solutions or complex software products, demonstrating an ability to understand and convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with consultative sales approaches that focus on aligning product capabilities with client-specific needs.
  • Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred and considered a strong advantage for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of critical sales activities, such as initial prospecting, qualification, and follow-up, to drive pipeline growth.
  • Leverage research and outreach strategies to identify high-value prospects and schedule meetings that advance sales opportunities.
  • Effectively pitch JBS's unique solution to prospective clients, setting appointments and opening doors to high-quality leads.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine messaging, improve lead quality, and enhance the overall sales process.
  • Partner with a Senior Account Executive to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals, gaining hands-on experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Support the Senior Account Executive in driving revenue by nurturing qualified leads, crafting tailored proposals, and participating in high-impact sales presentations.
  • Demonstrate sales acumen and business impact to fast-track promotion into a full Account Executive role within a defined timeline.
