About The Position

BloomNet, an industry-leading floral and gourmet service provider, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Inside Sales team. This role is responsible for driving new business growth through outbound prospecting, cold calling, and relationship building. The BDR will play a key role in expanding BloomNet’s network by identifying and onboarding new florist, bakery, and gourmet partners. This position is ideal for a sales professional with a hunter mentality who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is energized by building new relationships and closing new business.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant sales experience, with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting and cold calling
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving new business growth
  • Goal-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional phone presence
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to review sales data and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for market campaigns and business needs

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect and make high-volume outbound cold calls to generate new business opportunities
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers within prospective accounts
  • Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, business goals, and fit for BloomNet’s offerings
  • Present product features and value propositions clearly and effectively to close new business
  • Collaborate with market managers to plan and execute targeted telesales campaigns
  • Communicate product benefits and promotional offers to drive interest and conversion
  • Document campaign activity, outcomes, and insights to support continuous improvement
  • Build, maintain, and update a comprehensive database of prospective customers
  • Accurately record all prospect interactions, call outcomes, and follow-up activity in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Utilize sales data and reporting to track progress, identify trends, and inform outreach strategies
  • Execute consistent follow-up procedures to move prospects through the sales funnel
  • Nurture early-stage relationships to support successful onboarding and long-term engagement
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and cross-functional partners
  • Proactively seek new revenue opportunities by identifying emerging market trends and customer segments
  • Participate in company social networking and digital outreach efforts to support sales initiatives
  • Stay informed on competitive offerings and industry developments
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including timely completion of required reports and documentation
  • Follow expense guidelines and cost-control practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business development objectives
