About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing insurance agency. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in face-to-face interactions, enjoys educating others, and is passionate about connecting prospects with solutions that meet their insurance needs.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable speaking on camera and presenting to groups.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including some weekends.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Business development, sales, or marketing experience.
  • P&C insurance license will be required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in insurance or financial services a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the agency at industry events, tradeshows, networking functions, and community events across the country to generate new business leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Gather lead contact information and advise potential clients on coverage options available in the NREIG insurance program.
  • Serve as a speaker or panelist at industry events to share insights, educate prospects, promote the agency’s expertise, and build brand awareness.
  • Proactively follow up with leads gathered at events, nurturing relationships, and qualifying prospects to seamlessly transition to the Sales team for an insurance proposal.
  • Gather and share insights from events and interactions to uncover investment interests and audience needs, and help refine messaging and product offerings.
  • Stay informed about competitive offerings and trends in both the real estate investor and insurance markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic outreach initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing team to host webinars and create short- and long-form educational content for social media platforms to raise awareness and provide value to current and potential clients.
  • Actively engage in relevant social media groups and online communities (in collaboration with the Marketing team) to build relationships, answer questions, and position the agency as a trusted resource.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and lead status in the company’s CRM system.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
