About The Position

Checkout.com is a global fintech company that powers billions of transactions for major brands like eBay, ASOS, Klarna, Uber Eats, and Sony. They aim to make digital payments seamless, enabling businesses to grow and customers to stay. With 19 offices worldwide and London as its HQ, Checkout.com fosters a fast-moving, performance-obsessed culture. This role is a career-defining opportunity to contribute to the future of fintech. The company is seeking a highly analytical business builder for its sales team, responsible for strategically opening doors at prestigious brands. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who enjoys tinkering, testing, and optimizing, combining high-volume activity with high-precision targeting using data and technology to achieve success, rather than just making calls.

Requirements

  • The "Hacker" Mindset: A love for tinkering and testing, using keyboard shortcuts, seeking automations for repetitive tasks, and constantly looking for ways to make workflows faster.
  • Resilience, Grit & Iteration: Ability to use rejection as motivation and a data point, analyzing why something didn't work, tweaking variables, and trying again with a better approach.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: A relentless drive to understand how things work, seeking to comprehend the mechanics of the financial technology industry beyond surface-level answers.
  • Analytical Precision: Comfort with numbers and data, understanding that clean data is the foundation of a successful sales strategy.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous BDR/GTM experience (6 months - 2 years) demonstrating an understanding of what "good" looks like in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Technical Competency: Familiarity with logic-based tools is essential.
  • Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies in processes and propose improvements.
  • Growth Mindset: Eagerness to master complex concepts, adapt to new technologies, and continuously grow skillset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Zapier, Clay, Advanced Excel, or basic SQL/API knowledge is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive High-Velocity Growth: Generate qualified initial meetings at volume by engaging the market through a high number of touchpoints (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to consistently build pipeline.
  • Execute & Optimize Workflows: Improve existing processes, manage pipeline efficiently, and continuously seek ways to increase "conversion yield" through A/B testing messaging, analyzing metrics, and refining approaches based on evidence.
  • Leverage & Evolve the Stack: Proactively utilize and push the limits of sales technology (CRM, Intent Data, Enrichment tools), demonstrating curiosity to try new things, test new tools, and experiment to uncover opportunities.
  • Operational Rigor & Data Hygiene: Maintain impeccable data standards in the CRM, ensuring every interaction is logged accurately, understanding that clean data is crucial for automation and informed decision-making.

Benefits

  • Hybrid working model offers flexibility, with three days per week in the office to support collaboration and connection.
