About The Position

Our partner is a high-growth Series A AI company building software for one of the largest and most operationally critical industries in the world: logistics. Their platform helps freight and operations teams automate high-volume workflows across phone, email, chat, and data entry, allowing customers to operate more efficiently and focus more of their time on relationship-driven, revenue-generating work. This is a company tackling a massive real-world problem in a category that underpins how goods move through the economy. With strong early traction, a growing customer base, and a lean, ambitious team, our partner is at an exciting stage where early commercial hires can have meaningful impact on growth. Our partner is hiring a Business Development Representative to help scale outbound pipeline generation and support the next phase of commercial growth. This is an onsite role in San Francisco for someone who is energized by prospecting, comfortable with a highly phone-driven motion, and excited by the opportunity to join a team where outbound is already proving to be a meaningful growth lever. This is not a purely plug-and-play seat. The foundation is in place, but there is still meaningful room to improve messaging, targeting, and process. The right person will be excited by both execution and iteration: generating qualified pipeline while also helping refine the outbound motion over time. This role also offers strong long-term growth potential, including a path into a closing role as the business scales.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar outbound prospecting role
  • Demonstrated comfort with cold calling and high-volume outbound activity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in San Francisco
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Thoughtful and strategic approach to prospecting, not just activity for activity’s sake
  • Curiosity around modern AI tools and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  • Collaborative mindset and interest in helping improve process over time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an early-stage startup or similarly high-accountability environment
  • Exposure to SaaS, AI, logistics, supply chain, or other operationally complex industries
  • Interest in growing into an Account Executive role over time
  • Experience working closely with small, high-performing commercial teams

Responsibilities

  • Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting across phone, email, and other channels
  • Execute high-volume cold outreach with a strong emphasis on phone-based prospecting
  • Research target accounts and contacts to improve outreach quality and conversion
  • Qualify prospective customers and convert outreach into sales opportunities
  • Partner closely with sales leadership and Account Executives to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategy
  • Track prospecting activity, opportunity creation, and account progress in internal systems
  • Share feedback on campaign performance, market response, and process improvements
  • Help contribute to a repeatable, scalable outbound engine as the commercial team grows
