About The Position

The Business Development Representative will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities: Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with companies and organizations in close proximity to First City branches that are good prospects for credit union services. Establishes and maintains relationships with key management contacts at sponsor groups and prospect companies/agencies. Opens new member accounts, including shares and share draft accounts. Schedules and conducts membership drives and meetings with prospect company and sponsor group staff to promote First City products and services. Responds to requests from sponsor groups and prospect companies/agencies for membership drives, sponsorships, giveaways, visitations, printed materials, etc. Attends community events, branch events, sponsor events, educational seminars, charitable events, etc. Maintains and enhances credit union "brand" and corporate identity by displaying a helpful, knowledgeable, trustworthy and thoroughly professional demeanor. The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets: Thorough knowledge of financial products, services, procedures, policies, operations and promotions Minimum four years experience as a loan processor or new accounts representative in a financial institution Sales and/or business development experience in a commercial environment preferred Self-directed, enthusiastic and highly motivated with positive attitude and strong sales aptitude Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to speak effectively before large and small groups High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Additional Information: Travel in the greater Los Angeles area required for this position Weekend and flexible hours required We provide competitive compensation and benefits package that includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401k Retirement Plan (matching contribution=5%, immediate vesting) Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Educational Reimbursement (for all employees EOE

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of financial products, services, procedures, policies, operations and promotions
