About The Position

As a Business Development Representative, you are the face of our agency and its “engine” for growth. You’ll help us grow by acquiring new customers, specifically Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Brokers, and Lenders, while nurturing existing accounts. Your sales approach will be to educate current and prospective clients on our closing services, tools, and compliance standards to guarantee a seamless and positive transaction experience for buyers, borrowers, and sellers.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5 years of proven success in sales or business development. Experience in Title Insurance, Mortgage, or Real Estate is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Florida real estate contract and the closing process is a significant advantage.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skill and the ability to deliver a presentation to a group on industry topics.
  • Resilience: A dealmaker mindset with the tenacity to handle long sales cycles and frequent cold outreach.
  • Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily travel throughout the assigned Florida territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure: While not always required, a Florida Notary and Title Agent License are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and qualify clients through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and expand your book of business by acting as a liaison between clients and our escrow/production teams and marketing to the non-directing real estate agent.
  • Territory Strategy: Develop and execute a plan tailored to your market to maximize market share.
  • Industry Visibility: Represent the agency at industry association meetings, local Board of Realtors events, and community networking groups.
  • Educational Presentations: Conduct lunch & learns, webinars, and office presentations on industry trends, title insurance basics, and agency specific tools.
  • CRM Discipline: Maintain accurate records of your sales activities, leads, and client interactions in a CRM.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on current and upcoming regulations, competitors, and local real estate market conditions.
