At Commtech , a New Charter Company, we are seeking a Business Development Representative (in other companies this person could hold the title of Sales Engineer, Outside Sales, Technical Sales, IT Services Sales) to drive new business growth through proactive outbound sales and relationship leadership. This position will be onsite in Metairie, LA with some travel In this role, you will run the entire front half of the sales cycle, prospecting, discovery, solution orchestration, proposal, and close. You’ll lead the rel ations hip end-to-end and bring in a Sales Engineer when deeper technical discovery or solution design is needed. You’re accountable for momentum, next steps, and signatures. To be successful in this role, you will generate qualified meetings through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach, lead structured discovery conversations to uncover business drivers and stakeholder alignment, and coordinate technical scoping when needed. You will translate findings into clear proposals and statements of work, manage objections and commercial terms, and maintain accurate CRM hygiene to ensure reliable forecasting and strong handoffs to delivery.
