The Business Development Representative role is part of Fieldguide's rapidly scaling sales team, an AI platform for audit & advisory firms. This position is ideal for individuals aspiring to build a long-term career in sales, offering a strong foundation through training, mentorship, and direct exposure to experienced, high-performing representatives. Fieldguide's sales approach is thoughtful and research-driven, emphasizing preparation, curiosity, and trust with Account Executives, moving away from a 'smile and dial' environment. Success in this role stems from deeply understanding prospects, tailoring outreach, and cultivating genuine relationships. Candidates are required to reside within 50 miles of Salt Lake City. The role will initially be fully remote, with plans to transition to a hybrid work arrangement as the company establishes a local office and expands its Utah hub.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of BDR, SDR, Account Management, or Account Executive experience - including prospect research, multi-threading accounts, and qualifying leads.
  • Accounting industry knowledge, including but not limited to assurance and advisory services, ideally with exposure to cybersecurity or regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and shape our growth.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through self-sourced outreach and close collaboration with Account Executives.
  • Make introductions, schedule demos, and lead thoughtful, customer-first outreach campaigns that drive Fieldguide’s growth.
  • Engage new and existing leads through creative, personalized outreach that builds credibility and excitement for Fieldguide.
  • Educate prospects using real business cases, clearly demonstrating our value, ROI, and impact through authentic conversations over phone or Zoom.
  • Develop deep expertise in the Fieldguide platform, staying current on our product roadmap, industry trends, and competitive landscape to understand the forces driving technology and automation in our space.
  • Learn the nuances of different service lines and buyer personas while helping refine our sales playbook to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure every demo call transition is smooth and sets the stage for success.
  • Fuel the entire company pipeline and support the SDR team’s mission.
