About The Position

BSN Sports is seeking Business Development Professionals to lead our market expansion in team sports apparel and equipment with high value Schools, Clubs, Organizations, Associations and Teams. This job operates in a hybrid environment between a home office, sports clubs, community, and event environments. Territory sales - must currently reside in/near the location full-time to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities. The position requires travel primarily to organizations within the territory (2-5+ days a week) out-of-the-area and overnight travel will be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a direct sales role or related field, such as business to business (B2B) outside sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and CRM.
  • Experience with SAP helpful.
  • Ability to travel 70% or more in assigned territory.
  • Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, auto insurance and a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sporting goods or coaching/sports-related background.
  • Familiarity with a variety of sales techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience negotiating and implementing customer contracts in long-term sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Engage, discover customer problems, and build value with leaders of strategic athletic sports organizations.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers for new account transitions to the BSN Sports platform.
  • Make presentations on BSN Sports' unique solutions and product offerings to potential customers.
  • Work closely with senior management to execute and obtain customers to exceed sales plans.
  • Update and provide ongoing input into our CRM regarding pipeline status of new customers.
  • Provide intelligence on current marketplace, competitors' offerings, and contract status.
  • Assist leadership with the development and implementation of sales plans, market opportunities, and special projects.
  • Develop and qualify leads within respective territory to drive additional sales opportunities.
  • Utilize data-driven business intelligence for prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to the different sales team members after converting prospects.
