About The Position

The Business Development Representative – Inside Sales supports revenue growth through inside sales activities focused on inbound leads, existing customers, and assigned accounts. This role executes sales processes, prepares proposals, and supports service-related sales activities in accordance with established pricing, procedures, and management direction. Independent negotiation, pricing decisions, or customer commitments are not authorized.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous inside sales, customer service, or service-based sales support experience preferred. HVAC, plumbing, or construction-related industry exposure preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Inside Sales Execution: Respond to inbound sales inquiries, assigned leads, and existing customer requests for HVAC and plumbing time-and-material (T&M) repairs and projects in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare sales proposals based on defined pricing structures, scope guidance, and technical input from service leadership or field teams; submit proposals for approval as required prior to customer presentation.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate professionally with customers regarding proposals, scheduling coordination, and service follow-up without making independent pricing, scope, or service commitments.
  • Account Support: Support and maintain assigned customer relationships through consistent follow-up, documentation, and service coordination in alignment with sales and service management direction.
  • Internal Coordination: Communicate with Service Coordinators, Dispatch, Purchasing, and field personnel to ensure proposals reflect accurate labor, material, and scheduling information.
  • CRM Compliance: Accurately enter, update, and maintain all sales activity, customer interactions, and proposal data in the company’s CRM system.
  • Sales Support & Tracking: Track proposal status, follow up on outstanding quotes, and report activity and results as directed by management.
  • Quality Monitoring: Report customer feedback, service concerns, or recurring issues to management.
  • Process Adherence: Follow established sales workflows, approval processes, pricing controls, and documentation requirements.
  • General Support: Perform additional sales-related administrative duties as assigned to support business development efforts.
