Job Description: Business Development Representatives (BDR) are hunters of net new opportunities for the HPC AI product category within HPE. BDR’s find and build opportunities through prospecting via outreach such as emails and phone calls, and other discovery methods. Once a meeting has been scheduled, the BDR will qualify the opportunity and work alongside the respective field representatives to further build relationships and the opportunity. It is the BDR’s responsibility to continuously create opportunities by educating potential customers on the HPC AI portfolio. This position will be based in our Houston, TX office, 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • University or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales development or business development.
  • Demonstrated prior success in achieving pipeline generation metrics.
  • Experience with prospecting to Enterprise accounts preferred.
  • Experience with cold calling.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey them over the phone and email.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies in a fast changing environment.
  • Ability to conduct discovery calls and initially qualify.
  • Ability to find prospect pain points.
  • Ability to connect and develop strong relationships.
  • Ability to present AI/ML-based solutions.
  • Desire to help build a world-class sales organization – be a great team player!
  • Willingness to take ownership, learn, and execute.
  • Capable of engaging in business conversations at multiple

Responsibilities

  • Targets accounts for sales lead generation efforts.
  • Actively plans and prospects into accounts via outreach, discovery calls and creating qualified opportunities.
  • Works closely with HPC/AI Sales Specialists and broader account teams in account targeting to improve sales velocity and sales pipeline growth.
  • Provides updates on all active accounts and reports on activities and progress on a weekly basis.
  • Develops a deep understanding of, and effectively articulates, the HPE AI-at-Scale offerings and value propositions in the market.
  • Constantly focused on outbound prospecting/pipeline generation to ensure long-term success.
  • Achieves quarterly role metrics for pipeline generation activities.
