About The Position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Holt Industrial Rentals plays a crucial role in driving sales efforts by generating new business opportunities and managing lead generation. This position collaborates closely with sales and marketing teams to identify and qualify leads, build relationships with prospective clients, and contribute to the overall sales pipeline, all while aligning with the company's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to two years of sales, business development, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to engage with prospects and influence key decision-makers.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Familiarity with lead generation techniques and cold outreach strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential business opportunities through outbound efforts, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement.
  • Qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, events, and other channels to determine their potential for conversion into customers.
  • Initiate and maintain communications with potential clients to introduce products/services and build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline by effectively tracking and following up on leads using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Work closely with Account Executives, Sales Managers, and Marketing teams to create strategies and solutions that align with client needs and objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to ensure relevant outreach and value proposition.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and interactions with leads; provide regular updates to management on lead generation progress and sales pipeline status.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety policies and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
