About The Position

As Senior Business Development Representative you will be responsible for generating new qualified leads and opportunities for the North America sales team. You will work collaboratively with sales and marketing to define a strategic business approach to generate pipeline. You will use your strong and creative prospecting skills to connect with the right prospects (cold and warm), build relationships and identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • Ability to prospect to companies via cold calling, email, marketing campaigns, and social selling to drive demand.
  • Strong storytelling ability with positive and energetic phone skills.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to research target accounts and personas in line with defined target client and buyer profiles.
  • Experience working with BDR, Sales, and Marketing teams on designing and executing events.
  • Natural networking ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Goal-driven, strong self-starter with team player mentality in a high-energy sales environment.
  • Ability to utilize industry knowledge to research and develop accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Target-driven with the ability to attain and exceed sales goals by securing meetings with qualified leads.
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to quickly grow knowledge of Aptitude target markets (Insurance, Banking, Technology/Software, Telco, Hi-Tech Manufacturing).
  • Over 12 months experience in a similar role.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in BDR or demand generation in the technology industry, specifically in SaaS targeting the office of the CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new qualified leads and opportunities for the North America sales team.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to define a strategic business approach to generate pipeline.
  • Use prospecting skills to connect with prospects and build relationships.
  • Work closely with AEs and Partners to collaboratively build and execute outreach plans.
  • Research and build contact plans utilizing Salesforce, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Outreach.io, Demandbase, and other tools.
  • Tailor outreach copy for email and physical mail.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager and AEs to create talk tracks for cold calling, which will make up to 50% of your day.
  • Conduct regular joint outbound calling sessions with AEs to maximize effectiveness.
  • Hand prospects to AEs or nurture marketing campaigns.
