We have one branch in San Jose along with loan production offices in Redwood City and San Francisco. This role contributes to the bank's overall profitability by developing new deposit, and loan business for the Construction Division. Attains established goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs.

Requirements

  • Sound experience of at least 10 years with a leading lending organization.
  • Solid service or relationship management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of financial services and banking products.
  • Strong underwriting and portfolio management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain existing relationships and contacts in and outside of the company.
  • Possess effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a significant Construction pipeline and lending portfolio for the Bank.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting business relationships through high-quality service, referrals, and community events.
  • Solicit new business through participation in a variety of business development activities including attendance at community and non-profit organization meetings, meeting with clients and prospects to ascertain needs and develop creative banking solutions.
  • Assist in meeting annual loan and deposit growth goals assigned by senior management; participate in various internal committees assigned by senior management.
  • Provide leadership and training for less experienced officers and other staff members.
  • Assist other officers in resolving inquiries and providing support to clients.
  • Understand government regulations with particular emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations and the fact that compliance with BSA regulations is an enterprise responsibility.
  • Interviews prospective applicants and requests specified information related to loan or credit application; corresponds or re-interviews applicants to resolve questions regarding application information.
  • Analyzes potential loan markets to develop new prospects.
  • Develops business relationships and business referral sources.
  • Performs pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
  • Gathers and analyzes all information necessary to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval; meets with existing or potential customers; visiting sites of loans; negotiates loan terms and conditions.
  • Solicits, negotiates, underwrites and coordinates the closing of business loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates processing of approved loans; ensures loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtains sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; solves problems relative to processing and servicing of loans within his or her portfolio; approves loan disbursements in accordance with agreements.
  • Ensures that credit inquiries and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning are achieved.
  • Ensures that certification or deletion of collateral is made by the appropriate personnel.
  • Negotiates, underwrites and processes renewals of credit facilities.
  • Approves loan payments, draws from lines of credit, and fund transfers within specified limits.
  • Reviews Monthly financial reporting.
  • May represent the bank in community or civic functions to promote Bank image and bank products and services.
