About The Position

Legacy EMS is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development / Public Relations Representative to serve as our organization's public face within medical and non-medical communities. This role is ideal for a natural connector-someone who thrives on engaging others, understanding community needs, and positioning Legacy EMS as the provider of choice. The successful candidate will cultivate and manage relationships that expand brand awareness, educate stakeholders about our services, and enhance our regional presence. This individual should be strategic and personable, passionate about outreach, networking, and representing the organization at events and within professional and community networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, outreach, or public relations (preferably in a healthcare setting).
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport across diverse professional and community groups.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and group presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong understanding of healthcare services, emergency transport, and referral processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, referral sources, community leaders, business groups, and local organizations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Legacy EMS and external partners across assigned regions.
  • Promote awareness of our emergency and non-emergency services, interfacility transport, special event coverage, and community initiatives.
  • Represent Legacy EMS at community events, health fairs, professional meetings, chamber of commerce gatherings, and public forums.
  • Organize and participate in outreach initiatives that align with strategic marketing objectives.
  • Increase visibility of our services by promoting Legacy EMS across targeted audiences.
  • Distribute marketing materials and support promotional campaigns that communicate our value and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to identify key targets, plan outreach strategies, and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Ensure alignment between outreach efforts and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor healthcare, EMS, and local business landscape trends to identify new partnership or referral opportunities.
  • Gather and relay community feedback to inform service enhancements and marketing strategies.
