The Business Development Program Manager at Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is responsible for leading and managing the Mercury Insurance University Program, which is designed to onboard and train new agents in the insurance industry.   • Implement and continuously improve the Mercury Insurance University Program, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, modules, and workshops tailored to new agents.
  • Facilitate live training sessions, webinars, and workshops to enhance agents' skills in underwriting, claims processing, and customer relationship management.
  • Establish a mentorship program pairing new agents with experienced professionals for guidance and support.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to new agents, helping them navigate challenges and encouraging success.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Utilize sales analytics to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Work closely with other departments and partner agent groups to ensure comprehensive training for new agents.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with agents, encouraging feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the training curriculum remains relevant and effective.
  • Represent Mercury Insurance at industry events and conferences to promote the University Program and attract new talent.
  • Develop and manage the program budget, tracking expenses related to training materials, events, and resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, insurance sales, or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and sales techniques is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in training software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, CIC) and Master's degree.
