Job Summary The Business Development Professional advances the strategic planning and growth objectives of the Behavioral Health Network (BHN). This role independently establishes and maintains strategic relationships with community providers, serving as their gateway contact within the BHN. As a key member of the business development team, the position supports market expansion across designated business units. To drive results, the incumbent engages with target accounts, participates in internal planning meetings, attends conferences, and hosts business development events, including those held during evenings or weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, or related field
  • 4 years sales and/or relationship building experience
  • 2 years working in the behavioral health space
  • Demonstrated experience supporting hospital or healthcare growth and business development
  • Established relationships of 2 years with community providers that will have the ability to directly and immediately impact HHC's strategic goals upon hire
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to influence others and maintain a strong focus on achieving results. Develops and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders and constituents
  • Able to manage and be held accountable to timelines
  • Proponent for change and demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset
  • Approach problems constructively by focusing on how to move the project forward

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Business Administration is preferred
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting hospital or behavioral healthcare growth, strategic operations, planning and business development while working closely with senior or executive leadership in a matrixed environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with enhancing service line offerings and underserved communities through business development and marking assessments with proven results is preferred
  • 2 years' experience working with a Customer Relationship Management System is preferred
  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, or RSS is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Executes a regular service schedule consisting of community partner maintenance and new business development opportunities. Delivers compelling presentations to agencies, hospitals, discharge planners and other prospects to strengthen relationships and drive growth.
  • Identifies, builds and maintains relationships with key community partners. Serves as the primary liaison between the BHN Business Unit (BU) and its community, proactively increasing visibility and cultivating strategic partnerships that advance organizational goals.
  • Gathers and analyzes demographic, market, clinical, and financial data and tracks engagement. Interprets information; creates and presents key insights that are meaningful and actionable. Analyzes external market and competitive forces; identifies market shifts, and leverages market share data to boost productivity. Reports on the effectiveness of initiatives to leadership.
  • Assists BU clinical team with discharge planning including identifying and contacting appropriate facilities for transfer of care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
