About The Position

The Business Development Officer is responsible for achieving the marketing objectives of the company by attracting new business and expanding existing relationships. This role involves developing plans for revenue growth and selling business banking products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field OR work experience equivalent to job requirements.
  • 2 years work experience in the banking or financial industry.
  • Basic understanding of financial institution policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Make retention and business development calls on existing and potential new clients.
  • Establish priorities and prepare itineraries.
  • Document calls and make weekly call reports to supervisor.
  • Discuss client needs, problems, or complaints with senior managers.
  • Arrange meetings between clients or prospective clients and appropriate financial institution representatives.
  • Review lists, records, newspapers, etc., for business development leads.
  • Represent the financial institution in various civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop new business.
  • Promote a favorable image of the financial institution in all business activities within the community.
  • Assist in product and service development to ensure customer satisfaction and financial institution profitability.
