The Business Development – New & Used Truck role will be responsible to train under the mentorship of the Director of Sales, and other dealership personnel assigned to mentor specific functions/disciplines. Major Duties and Responsibilities Complete the MPG training curriculum within 12 months. Complete TMI within 12 months. Attend all MPG, Peterbilt, and third party training classes as assigned. Study truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application. Assist with MPG marketing activities Gather market data and conduct research Develop market plan and account plan for area/accounts that will fall under the candidates responsibility going forward. Develop customer relationships Develop customer presentations Collaborate with fellow employees and suppliers Follow up on all details pertaining to orders and transaction paperwork Secure customer commitments Produce "walk around" marketing videos for all used trucks Produce "walk around" marketing videos for new trucks Work with marketing to post trucks on publication websites, print media and other promotions Attend sales and training meetings Attend industry events/open houses/golf outings Maintain professional appearance Other tasks as assigned
