About The Position

DEKA Research & Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development/ Marketing Intern to join our team and work in a dynamic R D environment. In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate professionals to help create innovative solutions that truly make a difference. DEKA offers Internships for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, 12 preferred, and Summer Internships are to begin no later than June 16, 2025. The business development/marketing intern will support the business development team at DEKA R D Corp. DEKA's primary business is the development of breakthrough medical products in partnership with major pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers; DEKA also develops products for cleantech and consumer product companies.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/institution entering senior year of a Bachelor's degree program or currently in a Master's degree program
• Strong academic performance
• Impeccable judgment and discretion
• Excellent research skills (rapid but detail-oriented)
• Demonstrated aptitude for analytics
• Clear, concise writing skills with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort in a demanding environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and work independently
• Proficiency with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database software
• Passionate interest in technology and technology-driven businesses

Responsibilities

• Market research related to new products, including data analysis, financial statement analysis, secondary source research, and interviews
• Company research related to potential partners for new products
• Preparation of presentations and briefing packages for internal and external audiences
• Documentation of leads related to DEKA products and partnerships
• Scheduling meetings, calls, and other logistical support for business development activities
