About The Position

The Business Development role is focused on the in-depth development and management of new market opportunities. This position is responsible for managing strategic key accounts by developing and maintaining strategic plans across various areas. The role involves close collaboration with regional sales and engineering teams to create innovative solutions for new applications and opportunities. Additionally, the candidate will work with the regional sales team to categorize the significance of major accounts and develop a comprehensive market landscape that includes customers and applications for the assigned areas. The position also requires the development of new opportunities by understanding customers' needs and challenges, maintaining up-to-date product and pricing information on primary competitors, and obtaining information on market trends affecting FGS products. The candidate will assist the regional sales team with technical presentations, tradeshows, and customer-sponsored events, while also tracking sales leads and opportunities on CRM. Furthermore, the role includes responsibility for Business Unit contract negotiations and customer NDAs in the designated region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent technical degree.
  • 10 years of Oil and Gas sales management experience.
  • Experience managing independent representatives and distributors.
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including group presentation abilities.
  • Significant domestic travel required.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid US driver's license and safe driving history.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge and/or experience with FRP composites and/or Thermoplastic lined FRP composites used in industrial applications.
  • MBA or Military Officer experience.
