The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Regional Vice President and local General Managers by focusing on opportunity outreach and sales specifically for the Chicago market. This position is not just about managing existing accounts but also about identifying, ranking, developing, and managing new prospects, guiding them through the sales pipeline to a successful close. The ideal candidate will embody an entrepreneurial mindset that aligns with LAZ's culture and mission, which emphasizes creating opportunities for employees and value for clients. In this role, the Business Development Manager will assist the region with pipeline generation, underwriting, proposal preparation, presentations, and transitions for new locations. This includes building financial models and proformas, analyzing new business opportunities, and monitoring competitor operations to assess revenue, expenses, and profit margins. The manager will also maintain and maximize the Salesforce pipeline for the region, ensuring that new business opportunities are effectively tracked and managed. Networking and developing client relationships are key components of this position, as the manager will leverage these relationships to secure deals and support the operations team during the transition of new locations into the portfolio. This position requires a proactive, “boots on the ground” approach, as it is based out of the Chicago Regional Office and necessitates a deep understanding of local markets. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the RVP, GMs, and DOOs to deliver solutions that meet both internal and external client needs, while also being responsible for additional related duties as assigned.
