About The Position

We are seeking a result-driven Business Development Manager to plan and oversee innovative marketing initiatives, research organizations to find new opportunities, and increase the value of current clients while attracting new ones. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working in Business Development or Administration for a commercial construction management company, and a proven record of success working close to projects ranging in magnitude of $10 million - $100 million – your assignment will be commensurate with experience. Our new Business Development Manager will work closely with the Vice President of the Northeast Region and Business Development teams to provide competitive, thorough feedback and develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and partner satisfaction. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Development, Administration, Management, or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
  • A working knowledge of the commercial construction industry.
  • Organized, with great attention to detail and thorough note taking.
  • Well versed in excel and all MS Office Programs. specifically, Excel.
  • Strong and proactive communication (written, phone, and in person).
  • Ability to work well with coworkers, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and designers.
  • Closing skills, motivation for sales, prospecting skills, sales planning, selling to customer’s needs, territory management and presentation skills.
  • The ability to identify project opportunities early, and a strategic mindset toward positioning the company for pursuit success.
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and the ability to represent the company professionally across diverse client groups and communities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or familiarity with public-sector projects, including schools, affordable housing, and recreational centers, hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and client/customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients, building long-term relationships with new and existing partners
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and partner satisfaction
  • Promote the companies' services addressing or predicting client objectives
  • Support the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and teaming agreements in coordination with preconstruction, marketing and ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
  • Keep records of sales, revenues, invoices, etc.
