About The Position

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving market development, prospecting, and sales growth for Legacy Building Products. This position is highly focused on expanding our customer base, strengthening vendor partnerships, and increasing market presence within a 40-mile radius of our Mifflinburg, PA headquarters.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel locally as needed to support business development efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field preferred .
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or construction/building products industry preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Lead LBP sales/marketing directions/activities to grow customer base.
  • Oversee LBP sales and marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with marketing staff to create promotions, literature, web content, point of sale material, handouts, etc. Biz Dev manager will provide vision/inspiration.
  • Assist in recruiting and vetting potential new vendor partners and negotiations on pricing and performance with all vendors
  • Revamp and expand our showroom as necessary to host customers and showcase products.
  • Provide pricing assistance/market comps to make sure products are priced competitively and profitably.
  • Recruit and hire additional sales and/or support staff as necessary.
  • In-field travel to visit prospective and current customers to aid sales efforts.
  • Host tours of facility with potential and existing customers to Showcase LBP products and services.
