About The Position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities. This role focuses primarily on prospecting and securing new customers and expanding into new industries. Additionally, the position supports existing customer relationships by strengthening partnerships and assisting in resolving service or product-related issues when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of sales experience required.
  • Highly disciplined, proactive, and self-motivated with strong prospecting abilities
  • Friendly, outgoing, and relationship-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret part prints and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar and professional presentation abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in metal stamping, welding, and assembly manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with new customers and industries.
  • Generate sales leads from prospective accounts while uncovering additional opportunities within select existing customers.
  • Coordinate and host customer visits to company facilities.
  • Generate approximately $40 million in annual quoting opportunities , with a target of $4 million in booked sales , representing a minimum close rate of 10%.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams including production, quality, and engineering to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits with customers at their facilities to strengthen relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, account files, and updates related to account activity.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns by working closely with clients to understand needs and identify opportunities for additional products or services.
  • Assist with annual sales forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
