About The Position

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving growth within an assigned territory by working closely with our distributor network and salon partners. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans, building strong relationships with Distributor Sales Consultants (DSCs), and supporting salon success through education, marketing, and sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, relationship builder, and results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic field environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in professional beauty sales or business development—ideally within the beauty industry.
  • Experience working with distributor teams and DSCs.
  • Proven ability to build strategic business plans and deliver against KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and training skills.
  • Strong analytical and planning capabilities, with experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-75% within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and execute business plans for each assigned distributor in alignment with sales goals and brand strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor leadership and DSCs to drive retail and service business.
  • Conduct regular planning meetings (in-person or virtual) with distributor teams to align on performance, targets, and opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing sales training and development for DSCs using Maria Nila programs and tools.
  • Visit salons regularly to deliver product knowledge, support marketing strategies, and build long-term relationships.
  • Develop and implement retail and marketing strategies to increase salon sell-through.
  • Analyze sales-out and purchasing data monthly to identify trends, set goals, and support distributor planning.
  • Ensure proper implementation and performance tracking of the Salon Rewards Program within your territory.
  • Support and coordinate distributor-led education and events.
  • Manage quarterly marketing and education plans. Develop, implement, and assess marketing strategies utilizing accrual funds in collaboration with distributors.
  • Meet or exceed annual goals related to sales growth, new salon openings, and other key performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and manage budgets in line with company guidelines.
